There wasn’t much else going on this week, so we got a dog today.

Laura and Colin went skating with their school last week.
Laura is getting much more confident on her skates

Colin has the outfit and the anticipation down. He was ready to go!

Until we got on the ice. 5 min standing still next to the door was all he had in him this trip. Not a single step.

Mommy had to get some shopping done while a Daddy and Laura were at home sick.

Colin is helping finish the Christmas cards by signing his name in a few.

Laura and I enjoyed a fantastic night at the theatre! We saw the Nutcracker, met the dancers, and are now settled into a hotel for the night.

After the school concert the junior rock band took over

The kids were REALLY excited to be decorating the tree. It was loads of fun.

Laura and Grandmother did a couple of chemistry experiments. In this one, the carbon dioxide from her breath made the water/indicator turn blue.

Laura had a mini recital tonight for her Jazz class. Unfortunately the other 2 girls in the class were on vacation already, so it was a small recital. That didn’t reduce her enthusiasm at all!

Cliff was very pleased to find his Grandfather’s name – Clifford Hind Trend – on the Naval Memorial in Portsmouth. Lieutenant Trend was killed in 1942 while serving in the war.

After walking along the sea wall and checking out some of the other local sights and landmarks, Duck insisted we go to the pub. Thankfully, there were no darts in this pub.
