day 8 of our road trip

Hi! I’m writing about yesterday, and I will write a second post today about today later. yesterday, we were hanging out and visiting new York. Laura was doing a dance class with her teacher, Mrs. Elizabeth, and I was doing the Edge. the Edge is a 100-story tall building with a viewing platform on the side. the viewing platform has a glass floor on part of it, and slanted glass windows on the sides. it’s also open to the air, and when you’re on it you’re pretty much in the sky, so there are some very strong winds. it was really cool, but also a bit terrifying. I liked it nevertheless, so I had fun. once we came down, we looked for some souveniers, (Laura wasn’t with us here) and find out that the gift shop was out of snow globes. after finding that out, we went to a candy store nearby and bought a whole bunch of candy instead. I’m really enjoying mine. after we did that, we took a bit and went to an ice cream store nearby. I got two scoops of raspberry sorbet in a waffle bowl. a waffle bowl is a name for a bowl made out of waffle cone material that often has sprinkles around the edge. after you finish the ice cream in a waffle bowl, you can eat said bowl because it’s just a waffle cone in the shape of a bowl. that was a lot of information and a lot of the words “waffle” and “bowl”, but I hope you understand. we also took the New york Metro to get there, but it was very crowded. i really did not like it. we also did this walk that was like a nature walk, but it was on the top of an old aboveground train route so all the flowers were on beds, but they weren’t organized much. I took a lot of photos of these, but i’m not going to put them up here because there are WAY too many of them and also I haven’t uploaded them to my computer yet. I have very little left to say about day 8, so I’ll finish here. Bye! -Colin
