Hello! day 3 was fun. we started out in Indiana,Ohio, and Michgan and we are now in Canada! Yaaay! the drive was long and chill. Indiana and Ohio were interesting, but not really notable. In Michigan, though, the welcome center had a lot of an insect called fish flies. they are large and scary, but dont have mouths or stingers so cant hurt you. they also crunch when crushed and smell terrible. there were way, WAY too many of them all around the welcome center. it was really gross. once we got to Canada, we drove to my aunts’ house and met them! I went with on of them to go on falcon watch. Falcon watch is pretty self-explanatory. we were watching the falcons because there were young falcons who had hatched recently. they had taken their first flight on Sunday, so we were making sure that they didn’t get hurt. I took Daddy’s camera, and i was able to get some very nice pictures of them. none of the falcons got hurt, and we got back home with some good photos. we had some food and went to bed. it was a good day! -Colin

Day 2 was long, but good. we got up in the hotel where we stayed the night before, got everything packed, then got on the road. we were on the on the road for about 3 hours, got lunch from Subway, then got back on the road for another few hours. the driving was uneventful, but it was nice to have some peace and quiet for a while. Then we arrived at a friend’s house! we had not seen them for a few years, since the last time was when we lived in Dallas! I played “Gourmet Race” from Kirby Super Star in a small concert with Gigi and Bean, full names Jillian and Bronwyn, then we went upstairs and played some games together. after a while, Daddy and I went to our hotel room for the night, and i had some supper with a new TV show before going to bed. Altogether, it was a long but successful day. I’ll see you later! -Colin P.S. sorry this is late. i wasn’t able to send it yesterday.

Hello! Our road trip has finally started and i am… VERY tired. this time, it’s just me and Daddy on the drive. Our first day was almost entirely driving with a few stops for fuel and food. We have been going since around 6:30 in the morning. We started out by actually packing the things into the car and trailer. after we got all of that done, which took a while and felt kind of like playing Tetris (minus the music). We got on the road at around 9:30 and have been going ever since. Today, we have gone through Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri. the border between Texas and Arkansas is a town called Texarkana, which is a very fun little geography fact. other than that, there weren’t many notable places we stopped. okay, after all that, i have an announcement to make. we have a special companion with us! It is a small plush toy of a displacer beast named Bennet. a displacer beast is a panther with six legs and two tentacles coming out of its back, which can refract light to make them look like they’re where they aren’t. basically, if it looks like it’s here, it’s probably actually over there. anyway, Bennet is the “mascot” for my school D&D club, and he has been entrusted to me for the summer! He will be coming with us on our adventures this year! I will add pictures of him with this post. I am very excited for our trip this year, and I will write more tomorrow! Bye! -Colin

Hello! I’m doing blogging for our road trip again. we are doing a much more straightforward route to Canada this year, rather than the touristy route we took last year. I am looking forward to the trip! today was very busy. Most of the time we were packing. Tomorrow will be more interesting! Anyway, this was just a quick first blog post. Bye! -Colin
Colin has been thoroughly enjoying playing percussion, and has recently started on the drum kit. He is very pleased with this Christmas gift. And itโs all electronic, so quiet practice session, which everybody enjoys.

We started the new year with a 10 km hike with friends at Lake Houston Wilderness Park. It was a lovely day for it and we saw 15 bird species.

Cliff is nearly finished his anniversary puzzle.

Hello. day 51 was the day we finally got home! this is the first post i’ve written at home since day 0.5. i wrote day 1 at our first campsite. yesterday was the last day on the road. we did the same things as always. so, this post is recap time! in total, we have traveled through, in order: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New york, Connecticut, Massachussets, New Hampshire, Maine, then in Canada: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Newfoundland and Labrador, and then all of those again in reverse. In Total: 20 States/Provinces! we have been a long time on the road, with 26 days of driving. the trip has been amazing, and I’ve really enjoyed writing these posts. if we go on a road trip again, i will write more, so stay attentive! this has been a really fun new thing to do, and i look forward to writing more in the future! for everyone mentioned in the blog, hello, and to everyone who’s reading it, Thank You. for the last time this trip, that’s all for now. DAY 50! YAAAAAY! we are almost home! we will arrive home today. today is day 51, i am writing day 50, and i will write (in total) 52. yesterday was a great day. we did a lot of driving, and had less than it seems in fancy places. we were going a long way, and i am a bit stuck. the day was not a huge day, but i was happy. we did many things in the car. i played a lot of video games, including quite a bit of Minecraft. i am getting very excited and i feel like i am repeating myself and not saying anything useful. okay. yesterday we drove through Tennessee, Georgia, Tennessee again, Alabama, and finished in Mississippi. we listened to the fourth book of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series, called So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish. it is a reference to the dolphins, from book 1. if you want to understand what the heck i could possibly mean, then go read the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. now. i’ll wait. okay, i’m kidding. it is really funny, just like the others. please read them. i played Minecraft while we listened, and i made some really cool structures. the day felt kind of long, and i took many breaks just staring out the window and listening to our book. we had a playlist playing some random songs, and we decided to put on the playlist of music from the Super Mario Bros. Movie. very little notable happened, apart from what i just explained. that’s all for now. Bye! -Colin
