Colin wanted to make a mask. 10 minutes later he became Super Bookworm!
His mask has symbols and colors from books that he has read.
His super power is reading.

We live close enough to pop over to the beach for an hour before supper.

In addition to the cockatoos, we saw lots of corellas and crimson rosellas, and we saw our first king parrot. This one is a female – the males have bright red heads.

She kept scratching under her wing so we could see her pretty colours.
We headed out to Dandenong national park on Sunday to feed the cockatoos and go for some short hikes. It was spectacular! Sherbrooke forest was beautiful – we have never seen trees so tall.

What’s more fun than hiding in a hollow tree? Hiding with Mommy in a hollow tree!
Colin wanted a new Pokémon book. We decided he would pay for half of it, so he had to do some chores to earn the money.
He picked up all the toys in the backyard, took out the trash, cleaned up the dining room table and set it for lunch, polished his shoes, helped Daddy in the garage, and did some vacuuming. I think he was glad he had some cash, or he would have had to do even more!
He was a determined little guy, earning that book in just over 24 hours.

MacDougall and I walked up the path to the off-leash dog beach while the kids were at a playground tonight. He was pretty impressed, although still not too sure what to do in water.

Colin’s class are doing swimming lessons for the next 2 weeks. They are traveling on a bus to get there and I’m volunteering to help. Colin let me sit next to him on the first bus ride. We counted parked cars during the 10min drive.

Singapore airport has won “Best Airport in the World” for several years in a row. It is a well-deserves award – certainly the nicest I have ever seen.
When I went through last week I took a few minutes to check out their sunflower garden.

Laura turned 12 this weekend. She celebrated with a great adventure party with friends, and amazing cake from Sarah of course.
