Laura and I are doing some preparations for Colin’s upcoming birthday party.

To get out some energy on a very hot day I thought a trip to indoor trampoline park would be a good idea.
The kids had fun, but building lacked Air Conditioning! It was a really hot hour of bouncing.

Colin, Laura, and I went snorkeling just off the beach along from our house. We had one of Laura’s friends and her dad join us and show us where to go and what to look for.
Colin and I first saw a box fish (15cm long)

Then a little silver fish about the same size.

We all spotted a sea star (30cm)

Laura spotted a box fish hiding in the sand that ran away when I took its photo.

Laura and her friend also found a big jelly fish during their snorkeling.
Laura had to interview and was selected to one of the Year 7 representatives for the Student Representative Council at school! Yay Laura!

Laura had a great time at her school swim carnival. She was in a novelty race and had fun. There was lots of cheering.

Colin has joined after school tennis. He is getting better, though he might think the best part is grooming the courts after (tennis zamboni??)

Laura has joined the sailing squad after school. She is loving it!

Colin has started back into Karate for the year.

Laura came back from camp tired but happy. She met lots of friends and had fun at all the high ropes, surfing, hiking, and paddle boarding activities.

Laura headed off this morning to a 4 day camp trip with her year level at school. They are going to be camping (tents for 2 nights and cabins for 2 nights) and learning to surf, body board, and other fun things.
The camp is for all 120 girls in her year level. Thankfully there are some friends from last year going along.
