On a rainy afternoon there’s nothing much that’s better than a good game of cribbage.

Kids and I did museum and zoo adventures this week.
The Science Works Museum was Colin’s first choice. We got to build circuits and then watched a planetarium show about black holes.

It’s always fun to go to the Dandenongs and feed the cockatoos. Auntie Cathy agrees.

Auntie Cathy arrived this morning and we took her to the beach to get sunshine and show her the beach boxes. The kids wanted to pose with some of them.

Saw this cool butterfly on the side of a building in Cairns. It was about 10cm (4in) across the wingspan.
There are many more cool animal photos to come from Fitzroy Island. So far we’ve seen birds, fish, spiders, and a skink.

I got ambitious a few nights ago and made sushi. Sashimi, nigiri, rolls, and some edamame. There wasn’t a scrap left by the end of the meal!

Laura got her club jacket for her dance studio. It fits well and she loves it.

One of the friends in Colin’s class is moving away after this term. Colin baked cookies for the going away party this week.

Yesterday Colin did his 4th monthly rise to school. It took about 1hr (10km) each way. His determination is amazing.
