Laura’s baking project last weekend was cream puffs, involving choux pastry. Her piping work needs a bit of practice, but they tasted great!

The kids and I went to the zoo on Friday, which was a day off school for them.
They had a dinosaur exhibit. Colin thought it was a little too realistic.

The dog has a new bed. He is very pleased with it. Colin is very pleased with the shipping box.

Laura was invited to join the cross country team at school. She had to run 3km.
Today she ran a personal best time of 16:17! 30 seconds off her submitted run for the preliminary round!
Awesome job Laura!

The kids are so happy that the playgrounds are open and they can climb on structures again. We found this at a playground we hadn’t visited before.

We left the house as a family and did a short hike at Organ Pipes state park. Some nice scenery and cool geology – and even a pair of wedge-tailed eagles soaring overhead.

Laura was nice enough to spend a bit of time on Thursday helping me learn how to use Zoom software.

The baking adventures continue with buttermilk biscuits.

After our longer walk this morning, MacDougall was very happy to go sit on a cushion in the sunshine.

Colin asked for some time on the computer. He wanted to practice his typing (typing.com) and coding (coding.org). Yes, yes you may.
