The rainbow lorikeets finally found the feeder! Between the feeder and the bird bath getting several daily visitors now, I am so enjoying having all these feathered friends to watch while I am working.

Colin wanted to help block the wind so Cliff could light Laura’s birthday candles. Naturally, candles were only in her slice to be COVID safe!

This lovely pies currawong came by the bird bath the other day. It’s rare that I can snap a decent photo of the birdbath visitors, but he was quite obliging.


Every spare moment has been spent reading the new Nevermoor book. She received it Wednesday evening and finished it Saturday afternoon, despite school and dance interfering.

This grown up 14-year-old doesn’t want to pose for photos as often as her brother does, but she indulges is in her birthday! It’s hard to believe it’s been 14 years since she entered the world.


Colin wanted to go for a bike ride to his favourite hot chocolate spot, about 8 km up the beach. It was such a glorious day, the paths were quite crowded, but we had a great ride. He also got some climbing and jumping in while I finished my tea.



Colin requested tonight’s meal and acted as sous-chef for the preparation! It was a tasty meal!
