Colin had friends over this afternoon. After playing for awhile they brought a book and insisted on storytime.

Colin washed his own hair and his own body in the shower tonight. His reward was a game of MarioKart.

Both Colin and Laura got in on the pumpkin carving this year.

In all the excitement of last night, we forgot to post pictures! Laura was thrilled with her Autumn Leaves fairy costume:

It’s such a treat not to have to choose costumes that can be worn over snow suits!

Colin decided to have a “sad dinosaur with eyelashes and eyebrows”. I think I got it.

Laura did a matrix to narrow her choices and get to a final design before presenting it to me.

When we were visiting the Toronto Zoo both kids had to see how big of a penguin they were.
It looks like we have an Emperor and a Gentoo in the family this year.

Laura is delighted that Katie doll will also be dressed up for Halloween this year!

Laura and I went to the Sally Ride science festival yesterday. She had a great time doing various experiments, and we got to meet astronaut Wendy Lawrence.
