Waldorf-Astoria

My room is perfectly fine here, but there are a couple of oddities:

What the heck is that scale on the thermostat?  Which way is hot and which is cool?  What temperature is green?

A safe!  Great!  But it’s installed in the closet in such a way as to make te majority of the closet itself unusable.  Hangers do not fit in front of the safe, only on the sides.

Afternoon at the Space Ceter Houston

We spent the afternoon taking Liz to the Space Center Houston. The real 747 shuttle carrier is the newest exhibit and the “shuttle” on top is the display model that used to be at Kennedy Center in Florida (Explorer/Independence).

We all enjoyed the ISS display and show. And loved the walk through shuttle display inside.

The lighting was terrible for taking pictures of the real space modules from the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions. Though it was fun touching moon rock, meteorites, and playing with a section of the 1965 era control center. Houston, we’re having fun!

Camping

The camping trip was a success with fishing being the highlight of the second day.

We ended up packing up in the rain and stopped on the way home to take pictures in front of big road side things.

Even MacDougall figured out how to settle into this camping life.
