Happy Birthday Sarah!
We spent the afternoon taking Liz to the Space Center Houston. The real 747 shuttle carrier is the newest exhibit and the “shuttle” on top is the display model that used to be at Kennedy Center in Florida (Explorer/Independence).
We all enjoyed the ISS display and show. And loved the walk through shuttle display inside.
The lighting was terrible for taking pictures of the real space modules from the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions. Though it was fun touching moon rock, meteorites, and playing with a section of the 1965 era control center. Houston, we’re having fun!
We were inviter out to supper last night. The kids had a great time. I even managed to catch pictures when they stopped moving for a minute or two.
The camping trip was a success with fishing being the highlight of the second day.
We ended up packing up in the rain and stopped on the way home to take pictures in front of big road side things.
Even MacDougall figured out how to settle into this camping life.
These were our starters for supper in Madrid. The bread was delicious and crusty and the olives had a lovely bright flavor. Naturally there was jamon (Spanish ham), and Rioja to wash everything down. Yum!
Sarah is away on a business trip so the kids and I decided to start spring break week with a camping trip. 26C in the days and 15C at night is working out well. The first evening is a success.
Cliff is a brave man! I am on a plane, about to take off to Madrid, and this is where he is for the next two nights:
Colin had a great day with his new toys, friends over for a party and of course the fire breathing dragon cake.
Enjoy!
