Nothing like a little hockey to start the day before a big bike ride to the market.  

We headed to the driving range for some family fun this afternoon.

Laura did a great job today at her piano recital. She played amazingly well and got to dress up in her pretty dress. We are very proud of her success in her first recital. 

  

Colin likes to start the morning with a book.

This week has been rainy, but we have had weather nice enough to be invited to friends for a swim. Here’s a picture from 2 weekends ago. 

  

Laura was really excited to receive her second dance trophy for participation in the end of the year recital!  Thank you Ms Caroline for a wonderful year. 

  

Mothers Day included sleeping in, waking to a quiet house and having a quiet breakfast, hugs from kids, stitching, and watching TV with the kids. Happy Mothers Day!  

 

Laura was very excited for today’s dance recital.  She did a great job, and we loved watching her dance.  It’s amazing to see the progress she’s made in a year.

This year’s recital had an “around the world” theme.  This is her costume for her Polish ballet:  And here is her Brazilian samba costume.  Feathers galore!  

Yesterday at school was “muffins for mom”, where the kids get to bring Mom to their classrooms and give them Mother’s Day gifts.  Laura and Colin were each excited to show off their work.

Colin loves the insect sorting work, as well as the “insect or not?” work.  Laura gave a very thorough tour, then showed me how she does test tube division.  She had just moved up to two-digit divisors!
