MacDougall got a new bed. He seem to like it.  

 

Laura and I were inspired by the Great British Bake-Off and made chocolate-raspberry scones.

Colin had a great day playing with his friend Zachary. They hadn’t seen each other since before school let out. They had a great day!

    

  
 

We think Colin may take after his daddy.  

 

Cliff had his shoes shined at the airport in Toronto.  The kids were happy to climb up with him. 

  An early morning and a long day of travel really take it out of a boy.  He’s excited to sleep in his own bed again, but couldn’t even wait that long. 

  

We went to the splash pad and playground for Eva’s birthday yesterday.  The big water guns were the most fun.  Thankfully they were designed to shut off when pointed at the parental sitting area. 

   

       

 

Colin loves playing with the digger at the park. 

 
Laura was deeply engaged in a game of training to qualify as a waitress, by quickly carrying buckets. 

   

We went adventuring to Petrie Isoand today.  Laura made a list of things she wanted to try and spot:  

 She got them all checked off except the blue jay and Cardinal.  And instead she saw Baltimore orioles, Downy woodpeckers, cedar waxwings, yellow warblers, eastern kingbirds, and more.  A beaver and two muskrats were also spotted!

The best part, though, was playing with mud and sticks and water.
