The warm weather has the lizards out in full force. Don’t worry, MacDougall keeps a close eye on them so he can protect us. 

  

We got to the zoo today before it got too hot. The animals were very active and the crowd was light. It was a fun visit. 

   
    
 

The kids and Daddy, along with friends, spent the afternoon at the Museum of Natural Science in Houston. 

We saw fossils and dinosaur bones, 

 

  dioramas of animals of Texas (while trying to find our way through the basement section), 

 

  and ended with a trip to the butterfly pavilion where Mr Steve, Laura and Daddy all had butterflies land on them. 

  

  It was a fun day for everyone!  

The kids headed outdoors early this morning to get in some outdoor play before the temperature got too hot. 

   
 
This evening MacDougall decided to help fold laundry. 

  

Colin just received his first Kiwi Crate monthly activity in the mail. He is very excited to make his lemonade stand.

 Yes Colin is wearing a fleece bumblebee outfit. 

It takes Colin only seconds to make a new friend.  This morning at Laura’s swimming time he saw another little boy with toys and was off to play.  They had a great time together.  

 

We went to our first family ball game to see the Houston Astros win against the Texas Rangers. It was a fun game with home runs, lots of hits and a 10-0 score for the home team. Laura loves watching baseball. Colin enjoyed himself but got a little bored of the “watching” part after about 6 innings. 

We all had a good time. 

   
   

We’ve shown pictures of Laura’s hair in pretty buns for ballet. What we don’t show is the after hair when the bun comes out!

Colin finished a week long basketball camp and received a participation medal that he is very proud of. 

While he didn’t make a basket on his own all week, he did enjoy slam dunking the ball with the help of the coach, and got better at passing and dribbling.
