Laura has a great new piano teacher that is pushing her to learn many new things. Today we learned what an inversion is. 

The children have just been introduced to a classic.

There are curtains up in Colin’s room now.  No art on the walls yet, but every little bit helps.

We rode the 1920s-era train to the stockyards yesterday!

The kids had fun in the maze again, and beat their time from the previous visit.

Colin is always happy to see horses.  And was very pleased to get a longhorn balloon hat.

Colin had full days of school for the first time this past week.  Dance classes, tennis, and music lessons started up.  It was a busy week and we didn’t take any photos!

Friends from Houston came to see us for the long weekend.  The kids spent most of yesterday afternoon playing in the yard, then came inside to cool down with a bit of screen time.

Colin was very excited his week to have a new friend over to the house to play. 

Laura had been invited to the roller rink tomorrow with some new school friends.  It was a good day to get in a bit of practice, so off we went to the local playground.  Laura and Cliff on skates, Colin on his bike, and Sarah walking the dog.

It’s been an adjustment going back to school.  Colin had a friend coming over to play this afternoon and this is how he chose to wait for her.  Not sure how he’ll make it through full days next week after only half-days this week.

Colin made a tasty treat for a snack today – it’s coral made of popcorn!  The popcorn is held together with marshmallows, like Rice Krispie squares, and both kids are enjoying it.  He also helped make pumpkin-soy muffins.  It was a busy afternoon in the kitchen!
