I am questioning why we bought them toys for Christmas…

The box quickly became an airplane.

Clouds came along and interfered with the flying.

It was pajama/board games day for Laura at school today, and since Colin has been diagnosed with strep throat he also had a pajama day. That didn’t stop them from playing outside. 

Laura’s Grade hosted the class Winter Party. She and 2 friends made the snacks, including shopping for ingredients. 

Laura is sewing a pillowcase for Colin’s Christmas gift.  She is also learning valuable life skills!

This is how Colin shares a double bed.

We came to Houston for the weekend, which provided a good excuse to fulfill an annual tradition and go to the Nutcracker.  Colin came for the first time this year.

This production was brand new, and gorgeous.  Lots of cute details, such as little bees dancing around the flowers in the Waltz of the Flowers.  The kids enjoyed pretending to be bees:

Colin really wanted to enter a contest in one of his favorite magazines, ChickaDEE. 

He built a robot from recycled materials and sent them this picture 

Both kids were very excited to put ornaments on the tree this year. It was such a fun time!
