Someone say there’s an important game on today?  You bet!

I meant to post these on the weekend. 

I didn’t post “end of week 2” because week 2 was all rough-in work for electrical, plumbing and HVAC, so didn’t look much different from end of week 1. 

Week 3 consisted mostly of waiting for the city of Dallas inspectors to visit and grant permits for all the work done. (They are not the swiftest moving bureaucracy ever.)

By the end of the week we are only 3 work days behind schedule and the drywall and plaster is mostly up. 

This week will see cabinets and trim installed, and measurements taken for the granite counter to be cut. We may even see some paint on the walls!  

Laura wanted me to share this with the world. She created this piece and has been practicing it. For those of you that read music, I can always send you the sheet music, just ask.

When I look out into the back yard where the kids are playing I never know what I’ll see. 

Here’s Colin dressed up in an Indiana Jones hat, my rubber boots, and a park ranger badge. 

They were having a great game.  

Both Colin and Laura got to try the Van der Graaff generator at a birthday party of one of Colin’s school friends. 

Laura made lunch, then had to write a menu, set up a restaurant, and advertise to customers before we could eat. 

Sitting at a desk is not the most creative way to learn. Colin is more creative than that. 

We stopped at Soar! for some indoor fun blowing off some energy this evening.

Laura had a good time looking at her own cheek cells under a microscope at the Perot Museum.
