We went out for sushi for Cliff’s birthday in Sunday, then came home to open presents.

We are off to Ottawa to see Grandmother and Grampy (and to visit Customs and Border Patrol), and to see SNOW!  

Colin had to take a snowman stuffed toy, and then was looking out the window to see snow from above. 

This is Colin’s first time playing in snow. He is VERY excited just from the anticipation. 

We are staying the night at a hotel to avoid the offgassing in the house. 

The hotel gave the kids a box of chocolates for Valentines!  Lucky kids. 

We didn’t get as far as hoped this week, but there is definite progress and we are excited to have the separating plastic down. 

Paint is almost complete, granite and backsplash are scheduled for early this week with appliances installed by week end. 

Colin is trying to extend his time on the swing by keeping it going himself. This is an important life skill! 

It’s 6pm on a Friday and MacDougall has put himself to bed. 

This is one smart dog. 

The painting in the kitchen has left the house quite smelly for the last few nights. 

The kids and I ate at a restaurant where they could make their own pizzas. 

I’m not sure which part of learning tennis includes cones, but it seems to be a fun part. 

The kids have a science fair at school this week. There are some really interesting projects here. The kids wanted to look at everything. 

We are 4/6ths of the way through what was supposed to be a 5 week project. 

End of week 4 sees cabinets installed, and trim mostly complete. The walls are also preped for painting. 

Week 5 will be painting and granite installation, and week 6 will be blacksplash and finish work.
