We tried to clean up the fence for when we sell the house. We found it to be so rotten that we took it down instead.
The kids helped.

This is what shows up on your phone when you leave it unattended.
I am so happy to have two kids that play and entertain each other. I hope this continues for many years.
I don’t know what the game was, but there was laughing, chasing, smiling, and general excitement.

Colin did really well in school this week and completed all of his work. The reward was a trip to blow off steam at the new Adventure Park that just opened in our neighborhood.
The kids loved it.

The only meal Grandpa asked for on his visit was fondue. So we went out for a three fondue meal. Cheese, broth, and chocolate.

For the past 3-4 months the kids and I have been building a sail boat out of mostly scrap wood and materials found in the garage.
This week I got to put it in the water for the maiden voyage. It floated! The oars worked! The sail was raised! And there is still some work to do on the rudder and lee board so it sailed horribly. But it floated!

Colin got creative with the building blocks.

Laura and Grandpa have been working on projects.
Laura is practicing sanding wood and Grandpa is whittling legs for a dragon.
I’m not sure how Grandpa got the small seat!

I asked Colin to pick up his toys so I could vacuum. There was fussing until I agreed that he could vacuum.
All picked up and vacuumed. Win-win.

5 minutes. 5 minutes was all it took for MacDougall to claim Grandpa as his own.
Maybe Mac just knew Grandpa was in need of dog love after recently losing his own dog.
