Colin’s class are doing swimming lessons for the next 2 weeks. They are traveling on a bus to get there and I’m volunteering to help. Colin let me sit next to him on the first bus ride. We counted parked cars during the 10min drive.

Singapore airport has won “Best Airport in the World” for several years in a row. It is a well-deserves award – certainly the nicest I have ever seen.

When I went through last week I took a few minutes to check out their sunflower garden.

Laura turned 12 this weekend. She celebrated with a great adventure party with friends, and amazing cake from Sarah of course.

One of the projects that Laura’s class mates did was on Vision. Hey created a “Blindness Simulator” that played 3d sounds while sitting in a dark tent wearing a blindfold.

It was obviously a very challenging experience for your senses, as Colin tried it and sat completely still for all 3.5min, totally immersed in the experience.

To satisfy the requirements for the International Baccalaureate program at school the class all had to do in-depth projects.

They chose the topic “Who We Are” and then investigated a topic of their choice/interest under that broad heading.

Laura worked with her friend Lillia to study depression focusing on causes and remedies.

They did a wonderful presentation.

We went to take a ride on the Melbourne Star. It is one of 4 “Observation Wheels” in the world.

Now we have done 2.

It was fun and of course we had ice cream.

We spent a couple of hours this afternoon at the beach digging, getting muddy, splashing, and practicing snorkeling.

Colin is getting better at climbing at the park.

Colin and I got to go to the Legoland Discovery Center this weekend. Thankfully it’s not as busy as the Dallas one was whenever we went.

We were in a department store and came across some unexpected LEGO pals.
