On our outing into the city we stopped at the new Harry Potter shop within one of the large department stores. The kids were pleased to sit under the Lego sorting hat.

Colin is very pleased with his new night light, purchases with his own savings after he spotted it in a shop on Saturday.
Mummy and Daddy are also pleased, since it has a plug-in charger rather than needing batteries!

We took the train into the city to run errands. No boredom here!

It was nice enough last weekend for Colin to go outside and play with the hose. He wanted to be sprayed and Sarah obliged.

Laura got her results from her Dane test this year. She got a Distinction! The top level!

It’s been an interesting week in PNG. This afternoon I had to go (with some others) out to this beautiful new island resort to meet with some government officials (who were participating in an offsite workshop). It was not the worst setting for a meeting – shame all we did was eat lunch and sit in a conference room!

Laura has a play her group wrote in Drama class.
She was a boy for it. She was very proud of putting her hair up under the hat. Even when she went out to dance afterwards people didn’t recognize her with the short hair.

We enjoyed a picnic on the beach for dinner last night. We set up next to a big pile of sand, because I figured the kids would enjoy it. I was right.

Colin is still excited to go out rollerblading. He is getting steadier every time.
Last weekend we went all the way from the house to the park and back! It’s the longest he has done yet.
