Laura and Daddy have Nutcracker rehearsals every Sunday afternoon. Today Colin and I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies while they were dancing.

Last weekend I finished my Mount Fuji challenge. I ran 74 km in 5 weeks! The intention was to get running more, and this helped. Next up: Mount Kilimanjaro!

Laura and I tried out our homemade sail on our homemade boat.
The connection of sail to mast was too weak for the wind and the result was a bent mast. We tried, but failed at this attempt.

Colin was cold after a bike ride, but found a good spot to warm up.

Halloween is almost here and we hadn’t carved our pumpkins yet. Problem solved tonight. Three very fun designs.

With the Astros playing in the World Series, the school has permitted students to support their favourite team on game days.

Colin and I made a persimmon-ginger crisp on Sunday. I chopped the persimmons and ginger, and he did all the rest, including gently ensuring the crisp topping was appropriately distributed.

Yesterday was Nutcracker photo day. Laura sent us a couple of sneak peeks. Unfortunately, no sneak peeks of Cliff as Herr Drosselmeyer.

Laura has been working so hard at her flexibility for a couple of years, and has finally gotten her splits on one side. (And is very close on the other!)
