Reading Enid Blyton’s Famous Five has had a positive affect in Laura. After reading how Julian was able to climb on too of his caravan she tied a rope to the tree and climbed up.

Laura raced this morning in all strokes and an individual relay. There was ice cones provided as a treat afterward.

We finally made it to the children’s museum to play in their rubber “coal” sandbox. Sorry you couldn’t make it Grandmother.

Went to one of the public pools for a swim with friends today. It had just finished raining, was still overcast, and had cooled down to 30C (87F). I’m not sure why, but those conditions scared all the Texans away. We had a private pool for an hour! Lifeguards included.

Today we had a restful day catching up on projects and playing at home.

I thought I’d share another fun picture from our holiday in Ottawa. We were settling in for bed when the power went out. The kids had a great time playing with flashlights in the dark in the basement.

Had friends over this weekend for supper and some Wii games. The kids had lots of fun playing the Mario Kart racing.

For our 11th wedding anniversary we went out for supper and rock climbing. We rock!

Lane and Sylvia have entrusted us with the care of their outdoor plants and their pool for the week while they are away. We are glad to report the plants are still all alive and the pool is in full working condition.

Laura finished her week of dance class today with a Lion King recital “Simba is Missing”.

We are into the last week of swim team. Laura is still enjoying it lots.
