hello! day 25 was very good. once we got up, we had some breakfast and then did stuff around the house. I built some furniture from IKEA, Daddy put a new tap on our kitchen sink, and we unloaded a trailer of stuff Daddy had picked up in Newfoundland. it was all pretty much getting stuff done, so that’s all I really have to say for now. Hello! day 24 of our road trip ws long. we had to get up really early to get to the ferry on time. early as in 4:30 in the morning. after driving for a couple of hours we stopped to get some sandwiches for breakfast. once we finished those we made it to the ferry early and waited there for a little while. once we got on to the boat, we found out that the cabin we got was right at the front of the boat, which was really fun. on the trip, i knitted some more of a hat i am working on, played some video games, and read for a while. then we got some lunch from the on board restaurant. we had lunch while watching the 2nd Harry Potter movie. once that ended, i read some more, and then the boat arrived. the docking process was really fun to watch from the front of the boat. after we docked, we drove to our house in Nova Scotia and went to bed. that’s all for now. hello! day 23 was very busy. we spent the whole day cleaning up and fixing stuff around the cabin. when i got up, daddy was alreay doing some chores. i got dressed and had breakfast then started sweeping up themain hallway and setting the rugs outside. once i got that done, we had lunch because that took the whole morning. once we had lunch, we got to work replacing the sinks in the kitchen and the bathroom. that was a very long project. i went out to beat the rugs to get dust out of them while daddy put the base for the sinks in both of the rooms. while he was working in the bathroom, daddy found a luna moth, which are very large. he showed me, and then we worked together on putting in the bathroom sink. once we got it in, we found out that the sink was not put in correctly and wouldleak more than the last one so we put the old sink back in and then put the kitchen sink in. after that we went outside and put up a hanging chair just becaus, then came back in, had supper, and went to bed.
Hello! day 22 was good. we got up, packed, and got in the car to drive to a different friend’s house. the drive was uneventful. when we got there, we spent a little time playing with and helping to train their very young puppy dog. after that, Tyson and i went and played on their Wii and a bit of Switch for Mario Party, had an early lunch, and spent the rest of the visit playing Mario Party together. after that, Daddy and i drove all the way back to Grand Falls, and stopped at a gas station that is known for having a large moose statue named Morris in front. we stopped and took a photo with Morris, and went to the cabin. then we went to bed. Hello! day 21 was very good. once i got up, i played some games and then went to have breakfast. once i got dressed, me and Frannie, one of our friends, played a bunch of board games. we started with a Star Wars version of trivial pursuit, which took up most of the morning, and then started a game called Carcasonne. Carcasonne is a game where you put together castles and roads for points and whoever has the most points when the bag of tiles to build the things runs out. we played a bit of that, had some lunch, and then finished that game. then we did only the video questions for the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. then we played with their dog, Margo, for a while. then we had supper, and went to bed. that’s all for now. Hello! day 20 of or road trip was a short(er) driving day. this time, we stayed within the province! we started the day out in the cabin, we got packed up, and we drove to a place for Daddy to pick up a U-Haul. when we got there, the person that was going to give us it wasn’t there yet, so we went to a park to spend some time. we walked around for a bit, and then just sat and talked for a while. once the person came, we got the U-Haul and then drove all the way to the city of St. John’s. the drive wasn’t very eventful. when we got there, we visited our friends there. we had supper together, me and daddy unpacked, and we went to bed. that’s all for today. Hello! Day 19 was very fun. when we got up, we decided that we would go do some golf. we went to the golf course that daddy grew up playing on. also, we decided to do the full 18 holes that were vailable at the course, which is unusual as we normally only do 9 of them. however, the weather that day was a lot nicer than the weather in Texas, so we could stay out and playing more easily. we decided not to keep track of our scores, since neither of us got into par on any of the holes, but we did pay attention to them. that took up almost all of the morning, and a part of the afternoon, so we didn’t have much time for anything else when we got back home. when we got home, i wrote a whole bunch of blogs and worked on an Excel spreadsheet. then we went to bed. Day 18 was a busy one. When I got up, around 11 again, we went to Charley and Shelby’s again. We played outside for a while, and then we sent most of our afternoon cleaning out Daddy’s car. As a reward, Daddy brought us out to a fancy restaurant for supper. The restaurant was very good, and then we went home. It was a busy day. Bye! -Colin.
Day 17 was fun! We visited my cousins Charley and Shelby! When I got up, around 11:00 (I have been sleeping in for a very long time), I got ready for the day, and we drove down to their house. When we got there, I went to play with them very fast. We played on their iPads for a little while and then went to a park. The park had a splash pad, and we got very wet. When we got back, Charley and Shelby got in their pool, but I found it too cold so I used their trampoline instead. After that, I had to go home, so we came back and went to bed. Day 16 was another driving day. We got up at 4:30 in order to get to a boat trip at 10:00! we were far away, and the boarding started really early, and got very busy during the morning, so we got there early. The actual trip wasn’t very eventful. We read, daddy slept, I played some games, daddy helped me solve a puzzle in a Legend of Zelda game by figuring out that I could throw bombs. not much else happened. we got to Newfoundland much earlier than Daddy expected, thinking we would arrive at 8:30 and made it there at 5:30, and saw a sign outside that whale-comed us to Port-Aux-Basque, with a colorful whale. Because the boat arrived early, we drove to the cabin, unpacked, and got ready for bed. That’s all for now. Bye! -Colin
