We spent a cooler (only 35C) Saturday at the Fortworth Stockyards. 

They have a daily cattle drive,

Cowboys doing lasso tricks,

People in historical dress,

A human sized maze (with a challenge which we completed in 35min),

And sno-cones!

Will and Laura practiced their archery this afternoon. Laura even got 2 bulls eyes in one round. 

Last year I barely got a goodbye from either child. This year Laura waved as she ran out the door and Colin was even willing to smile while walking to group. 

I’m glad to see both of them so enthusiastic for another year. 

Vacation is here!  We are on our way to the Tyler Place in Vermont for a second year of family camp. We made it to Newark today. 

Laura also got to share a night of special songs and a fire lighting event and then we did pick up and saying good bye to our friends and counsellors the next day.

In late June and early July Laura went to an all girls summer camp and had a great time.  

When I went to pick her up I got to see her do some of her activities. 

Tennis, horseback riding, gymnastics, arts and crafts, and swimming. 

She also did waterskiing, archery, and table tennis, but I didn’t get to see those. 

We are off to camp one week from yesterday. They need a photo to help match parents to kids in case of an emergency. It isn’t easy to get a family photo. 

The best thing about the new grocery store is the small carts. I feel like a train moving through the store. A locomotive with 2 cars pulling behind. 

Usually the pictures are of our children. Today I want to share a picture that makes me very happy. Grandpa with his newest grandchild, 6 week old Shelby, singing songs. One very happy man. 

MacDougall dislikes thunder and has found the laundry room to be the quietest hiding spot in he new house. Laura felt he shouldn’t be alone and sat with him through the worst of the storms.
