Out and About

We started our morning with a lovely breakfast at Tatte. Delicious food and especially pastries!

That plate of crumbs was once a pain au chocolat

Then we walked over to Boston Common and checked out the Make Way for Ducklings statue, where the ducks all happened to be dressed to support the local team.

Mrs. Mallard, Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, Quack, and Cliff

Then we met up with a group for a walking tour of the Freedom Trail. We all learned quite a bit more about US history, notably how Paul Revere gets credit for a lot of things he didn’t really do.

Jeremiah, our guide, was both informative and entertaining
I really like this new statue recognizing the end of slavery

The wind was quite biting so we were happy to pop inside Quincy Market for lunch, then checked out the nearby Museum of Illusions, which made us laugh a lot.

The wind had died don so it was a beautiful walk back to our apartment where we enjoyed a bit of quiet time before meeting Laura for a delicious fish dinner.

Fresh fish; yum!
Colin was most impressed with the Baked Alaska. We also enjoyed Boston Cream Pie.

  1. You are obviously enjoying yourselves and eating well. Starting on St. Pat’s Day they are calling for six straight days of 100 plus temperatures. We may not last until April 1 to start our journey home.
