Day 32 of our road trip

Hello! Day 32 of our road trip was a bit strange. It was the last day of staying in St. Johns, so we were a bit sad about that, but we were also excited because we were going to a really cool ice cream spot at the end of the day. the morning was a bit slow, and nothing exciting happened. Afterwards, we went to another family friends’ house, and they had a pool. I put on my wet suit so that I didn’t get too cold, but the water was nice and warm. We played in there for a while, and their daughter, Claire, showed up and joined us in the pool. After an even longer time, we got out and dried off a bit. I swapped back into my normal clothes, and Laura and Claire stayed with the adults who had snacks. Me and Frannie (who was there too) went on the trampoline for a little while. After a while of that, we got off and had to go. We all drove down to a fish and chips spot to get fish and chips. Fish and chips consists of a piece of fish that’s battered and fried, and the chips are what Americans would call French fries. French fries aren’t actually from France, but I can’t remember where they are originally from. On a similar note, Hawaiian pizza is actually from Canada. After we had our fish and chips, we went to the ice cream place! It was called Tinker’s, and they had a huge selection of amazing combinations. They had a thing called Freakshakes, which were huge shakes of ice cream and then all kinds of toppings. Whipped cream, brownies, cherries, various types of berries, peanut butter cups, m&ms, wafers, waffle cones, and they also had ice cream tacos and ice cream nachos. Both the taco shells and the nachos are made out of waffle cone material.I got a brownie sundae, and everyone else got stuff that I also wanted to eat. Once we finished, we walked back to the car and stayed at Frannie’s house for a little while. Once we were done, we said our goodbyes, and left. We went to bed pretty quickly, and that’s all of the day. That’s all for now.  Bye!          -Colin
