Day 5 of our road trip: the Spy Museum

Hello again! day 5 of our road trip- day 2 of our stay in DC- has been amazing! we visited the Spy Museum. it is a very large museum of international espionage artifacts. those were three very long words, but i expect you know what they all mean. the Spy Museum is an interactive museum where you are given a card with your espionage data on it- a fake ID that you need to remember to keep going- and then you could continue. I liked the Undercover Mission stations, where you tapped your card, and then did an activity that often involved needing to remember things correctly. they were sets of screens where you did those, along with other activitiees throughout the museum. one of these was a challenge where you had to hang onto a bar that suspended you a few inches of the ground and occasionally twitched. i did all 60 seconds that was required to be “successful”, and the operator told me only 1% of all visitors could do that! i enjoyed the museum thoroughly, but i started getting tired at the end of it and we rushed through the last 2 or 3. exhibitions, along with the spy store (gift shop). there was a variety of things i learned, but i can’t choose a favourite. if you ever end up in DC on a trip, i would recommend it, but it takes 2 to 3 hours on average, so don’t do it if you don’t have all day. we also stopped at a bookshop in the morning, and Laura got some books there. finally, we cooked a special Father’s Day Supper for Daddy- Breakfast for supper! I think you can figure out the photos. that’s all i can think of right now, so bye. Until next time! -Colin
