Hi! Day 4 of our road trip is the first day we’ve been spending not on the road. we’ve stopped at a campground in Maryland that is very close to Washington D.C. we visited a whole bunch of places there today! First, we took the train to D.C., and then we went down to see the White House. we only saw it from a distance, and didn’t go inside. after that, we went to check out the many memorials around there. We are doing the Smithsonian museums on Monday, and we didn’t go there today. there are a lot of memorials in D.C., and we saw (I’m guessing) most of them today. we saw the Washingington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the World War 2 Memorial, the Vietnam memorial, the Martin Luther King jr. memorial, the Korea memorial, and we saw but didn’t go to the Jefferson memorial. we also saw the Capitol building, but didn’t go in. this is a long list of things, and i think if I described all of them, this would be a very very very long post, so I’ll stop now.
