Here we go again!
Month: January 2021
Camp out!
The kids decided to take their new tents from Grandpa out for a spin in the backyard tonight.

Clever signs
I enjoyed the signage at the wildlife sanctuary.

The look of love?
Can you guess what Colin is looking at?

He gazed steadily for quite a while…

He was enraptured with the gang-gang cockatoos at the wildlife sanctuary. We still haven’t seen any in the wild, but he loved checking these ones out.

Candlelight concert
We went to a lovely, intimate performance last night, sitting outdoors by Albert Lake. The string quartet performed selections from Handel’s water music and royal fireworks, and some Bach selections (Air on a G string, some Brandenburg concertos).
It was a fantastic evening! I’ve never sat close enough to follow along on the musicians sheet music before!

Not photoshopped
It turns out koalas are super soft. Who knew?

Beach time

Cool playgrounds
Rather than one big playground, there are a whole bunch of smaller, different playgrounds spread along the foreshore. This one was particularly good for climbing.
