MacDougall loves getting in the car to go anywhere. He hopped in today and sat waiting.
Month: February 2020
Colin is training for a kids tryathalon. We have been doing open water swimming to practice. He’s getting much stronger every week.
My cocktail tonight was called a “Paper Crane”. It was tasty, and I was impressed with the teeny tiny garnish.
Happy birthday, Cliff!
Rhubarb and custard pie for the birthday boy. I still haven’t got the recipe right – the custard isn’t thickening up – but at least it tastes good.
New bottom braces!
Laura had new braces installed and an elastic from top to bottom.
Colin is taking swimming lessons again this year and is also training for his first kids tryathalon. He is really excited to race at the start of March
First day of school
30 January 2020, entering years 8 and 3
We spent a fantastic day at Zealandia in Wellington, where they are working to restore nature to pre-human arrival conditions.
Wetas are a group of insects (giant flightless crickets) endemic to NZ that have been around millions of years but are now at risk from habitat destruction and introduced predators. We were lucky enough to see a few weta while we were there.
Cliff always enjoys a feed of seafood. (Photo taken in Wellington, I’m just slow to post things)
Colin spots the cool insects, then Cliff photographs them. This was at the botanic garden in Wellington.
