The kids fit in at school now! This was taken on Friday, and today we got them the right shoes, too.
Makes it easy to choose what to wear in the morning!

Check out those slippers! We’ve got some nice toasty toes!
It was back to school day today! Laura into Yr 6.5 and Colin into Yr 1.5.
Yay back to school!
One more afternoon at the park before school starts for the kids tomorrow.
Laura needs to have her own iPad for school. We went shopping today and she selected the iPad and case, and they helped her set it all up.
We have made it to Australia! It was a fairly uneventful trip. We were delayed a few hours in LA as we passed through, but arrived safe and sound with all of our luggage in tow.
The kids were troopers and are adjusting quickly to the massive time change. We are trying to get good nights sleeps and lots off outdoor time during the days.
We are working to unpack everything that was in our many suitcases. And getting ready to start school on Tuesday.
With only a couple of days in The Woodlands to wash clothes and repack for the trip, we also tried to get the last few Summer Vacation items in before starting school next week.
Swimming and rock climbing were top items to do.
After almost 3 weeks at camp Laura was happy to see us, excited to do show us all the activities she did this year, and sad to say goodbye to camp for now.
Colin and I went for sushi together the night before picking up Laura.
The restaurant had inventive chopstick helpers, I remembered to ask for the sushi to be cut in half, and a good fortune to finish off the meal.
Colin and I spent a good bit of yesterday at the museum.
We had a great time looking at the paleontology hall, where he taught me a lot, and then more time in the Energy Hall where he learned about geology and drilling and pipeline pigging.
His favorite part was the animals carved out of gemstones.
