The kids had a great time doing a walkathon at school today.
The kids had fun putting together a big floor puzzle.
And then Colin got some blocks and turned it into a pinball machine!
Don’t you get a sprinkle donut to enjoy while your colour processes?
Laura carved her pumpkin at her school today. She had to have it cleaned out and her design drawn on before taking it in.
I think it’s great that she can do this part herself now!
I unpacked the Halloween decorations and there was a stuffy that Colin hadn’t remembered. He decided to read out loud to it for the rest of the evening. Including while going to pick up Laura from dance.
Colin had to go get a blood draw today. He realized, after, that it wasn’t as scary as he thought it would be.
Since he had a needle, we get an ice cream!
After doing a 9.5mile bicycle ride the kids insisted on climbing on the playground. I think their energy reserves are endless.
Laura played in a Jazz piano competition/recital today. She enjoyed herself and showed how much she’s improved since last year.
We are so proud of how hard she has worked and how well she continues to do with her music.
(Unfortunately the sound recording on the phone doesn’t do justice to the sound of the piano in the performance hall)
Some more from Hamilton. While Laura played “Orphans” with her cousins…
Colin played Store, and was happy to have his hair in pigtails. He is intent on growing it out and it’s at a terrible length right now! We’ll do just about anything to keep it off his eyes!
By the way, the Orphans were doing yard work hoping the homeowner would give them some money so they could afford food.
