We have seen the B_G letter in a few locations around Dallas. Today at the Zoo the kids decided they wanted to be the I in BIG. 

Its a campaign promoting Dallas.

We found out awhile ago that the base of the windows in our sunroom were rotting. 

This week, while Ken and Margaret have been here to help, we have rebuilt the wall ready for new windows. It turns out it was so rotten that the panes of glass that were there were what was holding up the wall. 

We have taken away all the rotten wood, rebuilt the supports, leveled everything and are sealed for now waiting on the windows to be made.

For now we have put in some plywood and sealed the area while we wait for the new windows to be built and installed. I’ll post the finished pictures when that’s all done. 

Grandmother and Grammy are visiting and getting to enjoy playing board games like Monopoly Jr. 

The kids school marks the movement out of the elementary years. The Grade 6 students are recognized for their accomplishments and they then hand a candle to the Grade 5 child as they become the next years grade 6 students. 

Laura was excited to be part of the ceremony and take a candle. 

Colin finished his last day in Kindergarten. They had a little ceremony in the classroom followed by a reception outside.

Both kids were really excited today to have packages arrive in the mail with hats, water bottles, and golf balls and tees for their summer golf camp!  

Blog post title by Laura.  We made delicious maxines today, which are similar to madeleines, but use brown butter and almond flour.  

Took a family trip to check out the speciality popsicles shop.  They were good!
